Evening Men’s Group Begins April 13
The newly-formed Men’s Group will be meeting Thursday nights at 6 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Library. The first meeting will be April 13th. Danny Wyatt is the group facilitator; call him for more information.
Easter Needs: Baked goods and easter candy
.Please bring wrapped Easter candy* and baked goods and desserts for the $Easter Breakfast and Egg Hunt on April 9th. The candy must be brought in by Palm Sunday (April 2nd) for egg-stuffing. Filled eggs must be brought in by April 8.
The baked goods may be left in Shepherd’s Hall before Sunrise Worship.

Early Learning Center is Hiring Staff
Applicants should be a minimum of 18 years of age, and able to pass a background check and a drug screening. Most importantly, applicants should have a love of children. There are part-time morning and afternoon slots as well as full-day work available.
We will train the right candidate and pay for the required certification from the Early Learning Coalition. Once the certification training is completed, there is a start-up bonus of $200 with raises and bonuses as each step of training is accomplished.
Our school has part-time and full-time childcare of children ages 2-5 years and after-school care of children in elementary school.

Taco Dinner Fund-raiser Saturday, March 31 at 6 p.m.

First Responders’ Luncheon Saturday, March 4
You are invited to attend the First Responders’ Luncheon on Saturday, March 4, from noon to 3 p.m. in Shepherd’s Hall. Some local dignitaries will attend as well as Police, Fire, and EMT workers.
Shepherd’s Hall Roofing Fund
In order to obtain affordable insurance for Shepherd’s Hall, the roof needs replacement and the stucco repaired. We have a roofer and a permit; we have a stucco repair contr5actor ready to go.
Now, all we need are the funds to complete the replacement and repair.
Will you prayerfully consider contributing to this project? The contract for replacing the roof is $61,500 and the stucco repair is $1,650. With your help, we can complete this work ASAP.

Chili Cookoff Fundraiser – New Information
Join us after worship Feb. 26 for a great competition, good fun, and yummy chili. This year’s Chill Cookoff will be judged by a team of judges and there will be a silent auction for goody-filled baskets. Admission is $5 for adults with children free. Money will go into the general fund.

Women’s Retreat at Advent Lutheran Church
The Advent Lutheran Women’s Group is hosting a day retreat on Saturday, March 25, in the Knoedler Center (7550 Wickham Road in Melbourne, FL). There will be speakers, a Bible study, and a panel discussion on legal and financial topics important to women. Cost is $15 with a continental breakfast and lunch provided. Registration forms are available on the Narthex bulletin board.

New Sunday Pastor’s Study
Beginning January 22, the topic for the Adult Bible Study on Sunday will be the CPH study Concerning Spiritual Gifts from the Discipleship Series. Copies of the study are available in class.
From the study: This is a course about spiritual gifts–the special gifts given to particular Christians for the sake of special ministries in the Church…. This course takes seriously what the Bible says about the gifts of the Spirit. The focus of the course is on you, the individual Christian looking for your niche in the Church, and on the congregation, the God-ordained gathering of believers around Word and Sacrament.

Chili Cookoff Fundraiser February 26 after worship

A Big Thank You!
Good Shepherd’s float in the Titusville Christmas Parade was a huge hit. Our Choir was the only one with microphones! All involved had a great time although the candy ran out at the one-third mark of the route. Thank you to all who worked on the float and golf carts, those who walked the route, our choir and Ricky Hall, and those who donated the candy and who prayed for our safety and success.

Christmas Parade information
Volunteers accompanying the float need to be at the Titusville High School staging area by 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. Parking is at Sand Point Park; there is no parking at the high school. To carpool, be at the church before 4:30 p.m.
Candy Needed for Christmas Parade Dec. 10
Good Shepherd will be in the Titusville Christmas Parade (6 p.m. on Saturday, December 10) and we need wrapper candy to hand out to the spectators. Per Pastor: “We need the good stuff!” Please bring your donated candy to the Sanctuary.

LERT Chainsaw Training Class on Saturday, 01/14/2023
Mark next year’s calendar now for Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT) Basic Chainsaw training class. Date is Saturday, January 14, 2023 at5 Abiding Savior Lutheran Church (9700 W. Newberry Road, Gainesville, FL 32606) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (
You must have previously completed the LERT basic training class to participate in this class. To be authorized to use a chainsaw on LERT disaster responses as an LCMS LERT Chainsaw Operator, you must attend BOTH the morning classroom lecture and the afternoon “hands-on” session.
